MCC Coordination Committee

The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is a United States Government corporation designed to work with some of the poorest countries in the world (www.mcc.gov). It is based on the principle that aid is most effective when it reinforces good governance, economic freedom and investments in people. The mission is to reduce global poverty through the promotion of sustainable economic growth.
Guatemala has taken the challenge of applying for a grant through this program. The MCC goals guide the policies of the Colom/Espada government. While achieving financial assistance would be beneficial, more importantly for the growth of Guatemala is the implementation of these goals:
