The Vice-President, Dr. Rafael Espada, oversees the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the affected communities, both by the activity of the volcano Pacaya and by the passage of Tropical Storm Agatha.

The Vice-President, Dr. Rafael Espada, oversees the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the affected communities, both by the activity of the volcano Pacaya and by the passage of Tropical Storm Agatha.
The mobilization has been done by air or land to the affected areas. Today, Vice President and Mr. Alejandro Maldonado, Executive Secretary of CONRED visited the village El Aguacate, Mataquescuintla where there are an estimated 100 houses were cut off and many neighbors in need.

We are working together, government and community, we came to see and supervise the delivery of humanitarian aid. We want to aid their community; we will program the reconstruction. We're not going to fail, I came personally to greet them and tell them that we are present to help, said by the Vice Leader in his message to the residents of the village of El Aguacate.
For the transfer of resources by air, it has been done with the Guatemalan Air Force-FAG-, as well the Colombian Air Force, Southern Command and JTF Bravo of the United States of America and Civil Protection of Mexico, who have conducted 141 missions where they have moved more than 359,000 pounds of aid.
A total of 649.76 tons of humanitarian aid have been mobilized to support the affected departments.
