Water Cabinet
This Cabinet was created to coordinate all aspects related to water management, both for consumption and for electricity. Specific objectives include:
• Implementation of criteria for integrated management of water resources in all public entities.
• Ensure the continuation of water resources to achieve national development goals.
• Promote coordination of government agencies and civilian groups to achieve sustainable management of water resources.
• Develop better methods for delivery of potable water to all rural areas.
• Educate the population in the necessity of using potable water.

Social-Environment Cabinet
This cabinet was created to coordinate the policies and actions of the government in all social and environmental areas. Specific functions include:
• Coordinate the following cabinet areas of the government: atmospheric and natural resources, education, health, housing, culture, nutrition, and national security; ensure that all areas are promoting the plan of the government.
• Focus on the “greening” of Guatemala in relationship to mining, agriculture, and forestry.
• Coordinate all programs within the country to ensure that we are protecting the environment and our people.
• Coordinate at least quarterly with the Economic Cabinet to ensure that funds are available for protection of the natural resources.
• Coordinate with the First Lady for the development of programs and actions under “Cohesion Social” (social cohesion).

Tourism Cabinet
This cabinet was established to coordinate, promote and support the policies and strategies for the development of tourism within the Country. This includes evaluate the socio-economic and environmental impact of tourism.
The cabinet is charged with strengthening the current tourism infrastructure.
